For 1/2 lb of chicken livers...
- 1 cup of oatmeal, pulsed into a fine powder
- 0.25 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 egg (I used jumbo sized)
Pre-heat the oven at 325 degrees.
Grease the sides of a 9x9 baking pan, and set down some wax paper for easy removal.
Pulse the oatmeal first, then mix in with the flour and egg. Blend the raw chicken livers into liquid, and stir everything well together until you get a fairly thick batter.
Pour the mixture into the baking pan and bake for 20 minutes or so, then check every 3 minutes for doneness. You want the top surface to have a firm consistency, though more like a cake than a cookie.
Once cooked, remove it from the pan and cool it on a wire rack. Cut into pieces and give one to Furbs.
Drizzle some fish oil over the top beforehand to help his coat, eyes, and skin. You can freeze the rest.
